Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Truzme.com is a free, browser-based truss analysis tool, built and run as an independent project by Norbert Pozsonyi, based in Budapest, Hungary. For GDPR purposes, the operator acts as data controller.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We don't collect personal data unless you choose to contact us. If you do, your message and contact details are used only to reply to you.

We do not collect, store, or process:

• Names or contact details — unless you send them to us yourself through the contact form or by email (see §5 and §7)
• Your truss models or calculation data — these stay in your browser, on your own device
• Payment information — there is nothing to buy
• Tracking or advertising cookies — we use none

There is no sign-up and no visitor account. You never need one to use the calculator.

3. Analytics — What We Do Collect

We use one privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, geographic distribution, browser types). It does not track individual users across sessions or sites.

Pageview data is limited to: page URL, referrer, approximate country, browser, screen size, and session duration. No fingerprinting is used to identify individual visitors.

We also record anonymous events about how the app is used — for example which feature was opened, how many times this browser has opened Truzme (a count kept on your device, not an identifier), and whether Truzme is running inside an iframe. These never include your truss model or anything you typed into it.

You can switch analytics off on truzme.com/analytics, which also explains in plain words what each item above is used for. The switch applies to this browser and is remembered on your device.

4. Data Stored in Your Browser

Your truss models and app preferences are saved locally in your browser, on your own device. This data never leaves your device unless you export or copy it out yourself, for example by saving a .truzme file. We have no access to it. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

Cookies. Using Truzme sets no cookies. Not in the calculator, not on any page here, and nothing that identifies you or follows you elsewhere.

5. Third-Party Links

The Site links to, and in a few places embeds, services run by other companies. Each has its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their data practices.

• Tally — the contact form. Loaded only on the contact page.
• YouTube — videos embedded on some pages. The preview image loads with the page; the video itself loads only when you press play.
• Buy Me a Coffee — a plain link if you want to support the project. Nothing loads unless you click it.
• Vercel — hosting, the analytics in §3, and the storage the site's assets are served from.
• ImprovMX and Google (Gmail) — email. Messages sent to a truzme.com address are forwarded by ImprovMX to a Gmail inbox, where they are read and answered.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. These rights apply to everyone, wherever you live — we do not limit them to the European Economic Area.

In practice the only personal data we hold is what you sent us yourself: a contact-form message or an email, together with whatever contact details you chose to include. Email privacy@truzme.com and we will act on it.

For analytics there is nothing to request — the data is anonymous and not linked to you. If you would rather not be counted at all, switch it off on truzme.com/analytics, or use a standard ad blocker or tracking blocker.

7. Data Retention

Messages you send us — through the contact form or by email — are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner; see §6.

Contact-form submissions are also held by Tally, and emails by our mail providers (see §5), each under its own retention policy.

Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated, and is retained by Vercel under its own retention policy. None of it is linked to you.

8. Children

Truzme is commonly used in educational settings including by students. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including minors, as described in this policy.

Using the calculator needs no account, no sign-up, and no personal details of any kind. A student can use Truzme without giving us anything, and nothing they draw or calculate is sent to us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and the revision history at the bottom lists what changed. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Security

These are the measures actually in place:

• The site is served over HTTPS only, and instructs browsers to refuse plain HTTP (HSTS).
• No server of ours receives or stores the truss models of visitors — there is nothing of yours on our servers to lose.
• We process no payments and hold no payment data.
